We’re pleased to announce that we’ve just launched the new Interfaith Glasgow website.
Interfaith Glasgow promotes and facilitates positive engagement between people of diverse faiths and beliefs – religious and non-religious – so as to help create a better-connected, safer, and more harmonious city for all.
We’ve been working with Interfaith Glasgow since 2012. Over this time we have worked on a variety of projects including branding, the design and build of their first website, and design and production of marketing and information materials. Since 2012 the organisation has grown from a single-person project to a constituted charity that has a team of dedicated staff members.
They wanted their new website to showcase the projects they organise, the training they offer, and the events they hold. They also wanted it to highlight how they interact with a wide number of faith groups and the important role they play in interfaith discussions across Glasgow and Scotland.
Taking control of the website
Their new website is built using the content management system, WordPress. This platform allows Interfaith Glasgow to take control of the website by adding new news stories, new events, and editing the content of the current pages (both text and pictures). We supplied them with a number of tutorial videos that showed them how to do specific tasks in WordPress. These tutorial videos can be used as reference videos for future use.
Establishing the website style
Consistency is always key when helping an organisation build brand awareness. When we came to design the look of the new site we built on the style that we had already established for the organisation over the past number of years. The colour palette was largely based on the colours used in their logo and the use of a slab serif font also follows their established style. We broke up the content of each page by using large, colourful, pull quotes. This style can also be seen in their annual newsletter, Flourish.
